Sustainable Materials. Engineered Better.
Circular
At Biome, we believe waste is a resource. These crop by-products, typically burned in open fields, are upcycled into durable construction materials through a clean, closed-loop process. Our circular design model reduces pollution, diverts biomass from landfills and fires, and reintroduces it into the economy—keeping materials in use and emissions out of the air.
Sustainable
Biome’s products are engineered to significantly lower the carbon footprint of manufacturing and construction. By eliminating the need for deforestation, using hyperlocal raw materials, and adopting lean, low-energy production processes, we reduce embodied carbon by up to 90%*. Our supply chain is short and efficient, minimizing transport-related emissions, particularly in the critical A1–A2 lifecycle stages. Every product we make is a step toward climate-aligned building—supporting green certifications, cleaner cities and villages, and healthier ecosystems.
Responsible
We go beyond environmental impact to build ethical, resilient supply chains. Our model empowers farming communities by turning agricultural waste into a source of income, while creating skilled green jobs in decentralized production hubs. Biome’s products are free from formaldehyde and harmful VOCs, ensuring healthier working environments and indoor air quality. By aligning ecological innovation with human well-being, we are shaping a future where sustainability is not just an outcome—but a shared responsibility.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Testimonials from industry experts
It’s high time that we set up the concept of sustainable development of ecological building materials. Alternatives to Plywood, MDF & gypsum need to be brought and promoted into mainstream construction. Products like MDF actually depletes natural resources, releases toxins (formaldehyde) during the manufacturing process and doesn’t bio-degrade easily while remaining in the landfills for hundreds of years. Using sustainable materials not only reduces the environmental impact but also helps to create healthier living spaces. These materials are recyclable, renewable, and can be produced without adverse effects on the environment. Biome’s offering is surely an added advantage to augment such sustainable consciousness.

After years of focussing only on building emissions, we see a paradigm shift taking place with renewed attention to embodied carbon and how alternative construction materials have a huge part to play in reducing GHG. Biome's foray into alternative timber products is a promising development for the industry.

As a workplace designer and sustainability advocate, I’m constantly seeking materials that meet both performance and environmental standards. With growing demand for Green building certifications, the need for innovative, low-impact materials has never been greater. Biome Boards stand out not only for their design versatility and durability in high-traffic commercial spaces, but also for how they’re made — entirely from post-consumer and post-industrial waste. Their circular approach transforms waste into a purposeful, beautiful product that can help projects meet sustainability targets without compromise. At the Sustainable Design Collective, we champion forward-thinking solutions like Biome that help move our industry towards a more responsible and regenerative future.

There is a desperate need for sustainably sourced & produced materials for the building sector. We’ve often struggled to find appropriate products & fall behind in our projects/ clients’ sustainability objectives for lack of choices. Biome’s effort in this space can help the industry transition away from timber dependence.

Biome transforms agricultural waste into a beautiful, toxin-free material ideal for architecture and design applications. It supports circularity, reduces carbon impact, and enables regenerative thinking in interiors and product applications. This is exactly the kind of innovation we need to build healthier, climate-resilient spaces without compromise.
Mitakshi Sirsi
Global Director of Sustainability, Broadway Malyan.
Over the past decade, building certifications have increasingly prioritized energy efficiency and the utilization of renewable power sources. Material selection plays a significant role in determining certification scores, with clients having the potential to earn up to 20 points out of 110 through their material choices. However, all clients face challenges in this aspect as there is a lack of sufficient options available, thereby hindering their ability to attain higher rating scores.
Rishabh Kasliwal
Managing Director, Kamal Cogent Energy Pvt. Ltd
The solutions offered by Biome are encouraging. Alternative materials which are sustainable and affordable as well as locally available are absolutely vital to create a sustainable built environment, and the decarbonisation journey will remain incomplete without such solutions.
